The BDHSSA respects the rights of each patient, family member, visitor and member of the public to ask questions and receive information about the quality of services delivered by our organization.  The Client and Patient Representative's role is to answer those questions and provide information in a confidential, timely and respectful manner.

What kind of questions, concerns or comments (positive or negative) can I bring to the Client and Patient Representative?

The Client and Patient Representative will hear any questions or concerns related to the delivery of health and/or social services in the Beaufort Delta region.  The Client and Patient Representative’s role is not to provide medical advice or opinions.  However, they will connect you with the right people and ensure you get a satisfactory answer to all of your questions, medical or otherwise.

Where is the Client and Patient Representative?

The Client and Patient Representative is based in the Inuvik Regional Hospital, but will travel to communities if possible to assist client and patients, their families and members of the public in having their questions answered and concerns resolved.

Who sees information provided to the Client and Patient Representative?

All requests are treated confidentially and in a timely, respectful matter.  Information is released to other parties only after expressed, written consent of the individual involved in the original request.

When is the Client and Patient Representative available?

The Client and Patient Representative is available during regular business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
